Accoglienza studenti stranieri ospiti dell'Università di Genova

Una buona accoglienza costituisce un ottimo biglietto da visita per incentivare gli studenti stranieri a scegliere Genova come sede per il loro soggiorno di studio all'estero: l'Università ha intrapreso diverse iniziative per accoglierli al meglio avvalendosi anche della nostra collaborazione.

Iniziative per l'accoglienza

Le facilitazioni offerte sono riservate:

agli studenti stranieri ospiti dell'Ateneo di Genova in quanto partecipanti a programmi di mobilità europea (Erasmus, Leonardo ed altri programmi comunitari) o a convenzioni internazionali;
agli studenti comunitari ed extracomunitari residenti all'estero che si iscrivono:
- al primo anno dei corsi di laurea, laurea specialistica, laurea specialistica a ciclo unico, specializzazione, dottorato di ricerca;
- a singole attività formative;
- al primo anno di un master di primo o di secondo livello o al primo anno di corsi di perfezionamento.

Registrazione all'Università di Genova

Gli studenti incoming Erasmus devono completare la procedura online di registrazione per essere accettati dall'Università degi Studi di Genova e per poter quindi usufruire delle iniziative per l'accoglienza:

Scadenze per il completamento della procedura di presentazione dell'Application Form

31 agosto 2010 per gli studenti che svolgeranno la propria attività presso l'Università degli Studi di Genova nel 1° semestre o durante l'intero anno accademico.
30 novembre 2010 per gli studenti che svolgeranno la propria attività presso l'Università degli Studi di Genova nel 2° semestre.

Sistemazione abitativa

Al loro arrivo a Genova, gli studenti stranieri potranno essere ospitati presso l'Ostello della Gioventù, previa prenotazione e pagamento della prima notte. Le quattro notti successive sono invece a carico dell'Università di Genova. Qualora gli studenti intendano prolungare a proprie spese il soggiorno presso l'ostello, si consiglia di consultare il sito www.ostellogenova.it.

Al fine di aiutare gli studenti a trovare una sistemazione abitativa definitiva, l'Università organizza, con il contributo della Comunità Europea, un servizio gratuito di orientamento e ricerca alloggi tramite il Servizio Accoglienza Studenti Stranieri (SASS).

Il SASS è stato creato dall'Università di Genova per fornire agli studenti stranieri le informazioni e il supporto necessari a stabilirsi in città e trascorrere un proficuo soggiorno di studio.

Corsi gratuiti di lingua italiana

Per facilitare l'apprendimento della lingua italiana, l'Università organizza, con il contributo della Commissione Europea, corsi gratuiti di lingua italiana articolati su diversi livelli, in base al grado di conoscenza della lingua.

Struttura e durata dei corsi:

principianti - durata 50 ore;
intermedi e avanzati - durata 40 ore.

I corsi hanno le seguenti date di inizio:

13 settembre 2010,
11 ottobre 2010,
07 febbraio 2011,
07 marzo 2011.

I corsi si articolano dal livello A1 (principianti assoluti) al livello C2, secondo i parametri definiti nel Common European Framework of Reference for Modern Languages del Consiglio d'Europa.

Gli studenti devono sostenere un test d'ingresso. Le classi vengono formate in base ai risultati ottenuti nel test, che, di norma, coincide con la data di inizio dei corsi. Le lezioni sono tenute da docenti di madrelingua italiana specializzati nella didattica dell'italiano a stranieri e sono rivolte a gruppi di max 25 studenti. Agli studenti verrà rilasciato un attestato finale che certifica le ore di corso effettivamente svolte e valutabili in crediti dall'Università di provenienza.

Information for foreign students hosted by University of Genoa

A warm welcome is the best visiting card in order to encourage foreign students to choose Genoa for their abroad study period. To this end the University of Genoa offers services and organizes initiatives to welcome them in the best way, thanks also to the cooperation our association.

Welcome facilities

Are addressed to:

foreign students hosted by the University of Genoa in the frame of European Mobility Programmes (Erasmus, Leonardo and other EU exchange programmes) or international university agreements
EU students and non-EU students living outside Italy who enrol at the University of Genoa:
- for the first year of an undergraduate course, a specialist degree, a specialization or a period of research (Ph.D)
- for individual training programmes;
- for the first year of a Master degree (1st or 2nd level) and of other postgraduate courses.

Registration to Genoa University

Incoming Erasmus students for a.y. 2011/2012 have to complete the Erasmus Online Application procedure in order to be accepted by University of Genoa and to take advantage of the welcome facilities.

31th august 2011 for students who will attend University of Genoa during the 1st semester or for the whole academic year

Accommodation

The University of Genoa, in order to help students in finding the best accommodation for their needs, organizes, a free service of accommodation research through the Foreign students accomodation service (SASS)

Italian Language Courses

The University of Genoa organizes, with the contribution of the European Commission, Italian Language courses for foreign students, completely free of charge. The major aim of the courses is to provide students with the linguistic tools which will enable them to make the best of their stay in Genoa.

Structure and duration of the courses:

Beginners (50H)
Intermediate and Advanced (40H)

Starting dates:

12th September 2011
10th October 2011
13th February 2012
12th March 2012

The courses are divided into levels from A1 (breakthrough) to C2 (mastery) in keeping with the criteria laid down by the Common European Framework of Reference for Modern Languages of the Council of Europe.

The students have to sit for an entrance test.

The classes are established on the basis of the test results - the test usually coincides with the beginning of the course - and do not exceed 25 students.

All the teachers are specialized in T.I.F.L. (Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language). Students completing the course will receive an attendance certificate bearing the total hours attended. The certificate may be presented to the students' home university that will assign credits according to its own rules.
